The designer, who was born in 1985 and who has previously worked with Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy, has been apparently chosen to design the womenswear of the French fashion house.

ENGLISH VERSION

Two months after the departure after five years of Guillaume Henry, who is now at the creative helm of Nina Ricci, it seems that Carven itself has finally found his successor: Alexis Martial, a young French designer who has previously worked at Givenchy and Paco Rabanne and who made his debut as creative director of Iceberg’s womenswear with the spring-summer 2014 collection. And whereas Gilmar has refused to release a statement and the French fashion house has neither confirmed nor denied the news, it is certain that Carven isn’t presenting a fashion show in January for the Paris fashion week devoted to menswear. According to rumors Paul Surridge, who has previously worked at Jil Sander and is now leaving ZZegna, is said to be the new designer for Carven’s menswear.
